MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, PEKANBARU \u2013 Menengarai masifnya peredaran narkoba dan perilaku seks bebas, termasuk persebaran penyimpangan seksual LGBTQ, Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau (UMRI) berinisiatif untuk membuat sejumlah program penanganan dan rehabilitasi.<\/p>\n

Rektor UMRI, Saidul Amin, mengatakan telah berkoordinasi dengan pemerintah provinsi. Program ini sekaligus untuk menjaga identitas dan marwah Riau sebagai bumi Melayu.<\/p>\n

\u201cMasalah LGBT dan rehabilitasi narkoba itu sudah lama kita bicarakan dengan Pak Gubri (Gubernur Riau Syamsuar) dan ini merupakan upaya dari UMRI dan Muhammadiyah untuk turut serta membantu pemerintah Provinsi Riau menyelesaikan permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n

Dalam forum kajian subuh di Masjid Baitul Hikmah Komplek Kampus UMRI, Jalan Tuanku Tambusai Ujung, Kota Pekanbaru, Ahad (25\/12), Saidul Amin mengatakan program rehabilitasi dan pencegahan ini nantinya akan melibatkan program studi Psikologi Islam UMRI.<\/p>\n

Ikhtiar ini kata dia sejalan dengan prinsip organisasi Muhammadiyah yang bertujuan untuk mencerahkan bangsa dan mencerdaskan semesta terutama di Bumi Lancang Kuning.<\/p>\n

\u201cSebab kita dari Muhammadiyah punya prinsip mencerahkan bangsa dan mencerdaskan semesta itulah program yang bisa kita lakukan,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n

\u201cNanti akan kita bicarakanlah dengan tim teknis dari Pak Gubri, mana yang bisa dari kami dan mana yang bisa dibantu oleh pemerintah provinsi. Sebab menyelesaikan masalah besar ini tidak bisa sendiri-sendiri kita mesti bersama-sama,\u201d imbuhnya.<\/p>\n

Untuk diketahui, sebelum ini Gubernur Riau, Syamsuar telah mengajak seluruh pihak untuk sama-sama mengatasi permasalahan LGBT, penggunaan narkoba dan perilaku seks bebas yang masif di lingkungan generasi muda. (afn)<\/p>\n
