Hadir dan turut mengikuti salat berjamaah tersebut, Presiden RI Joko Widodo, Gubernur Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Ketua PP <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lensamu\">Muhammadiyah<\/a>, sejumlah tokoh nasional lainnya dan juga para jamaah salat ashar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Buya Syafii Maarif dikenal dengan sosok yang ramah dan sederhana. Banyak orang yang mencintai Buya yang kerap menghadirkan narasi toleransi dan kebangsaan untuk terjaga agar tetap utuh.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Buya Syafii Maarif wafat pada Jum\u2019at 27 Mei 2022 di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping pada pukul 10.15 WIB.
